Construction Accelerates at Po Medical Center, Concerns Remain at Manga Amphitheater

Ouagadougou: The Minister Director of Cabinet of the President of Faso, Captain Martha Celeste Anderson Dekomwin MEDAH, has observed notable progress in the construction of a communal medical center at the garrison of the Thomas-Sankara camp in Po. During a recent visit, the minister noted improvements three weeks after highlighting significant delays in the project, which is vital for the Nazinon region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the construction company has made considerable advancements since the minister’s previous visit. The building, once only at the foundation level, is now taking shape. The company has adopted a new work dynamic, including a revised timetable and enhanced coordination with the monitoring team. Captain MEDAH expressed satisfaction with the progress and confidence in the project’s future. Key structures such as drilling and masonry, absent during the initial visit, have now been completed.

The Inspection Office has confirmed the adherence to quality standards. Architect Mahamoudou Badini assured that the implementation aligns with established norms, alleviating concerns about the construction quality.

Conversely, in Manga, the minister found the progress on the 500-seat amphitheater at the University of Manga less satisfactory. Despite recommendations made during the initial visit, the construction has not advanced significantly, and the desired work dynamic is still lacking. Captain MEDAH reiterated the need for companies to enhance work organization, ensure quality control, and adhere to deadlines and contractual obligations.
