Dr. Nestorine SANGARE Instills Integrity in Campers

Ouagadougou: Dr. Nestorine SANGARE, former Minister for the Promotion of Women and Gender, lecturer and researcher at Joseph KI-ZERBO University, delivered a significant message on integrity to campers at the Faso Mebo holiday camp in Ouagadougou. Serving as a guest speaker during the camp’s second wave, Dr. SANGARE emphasized values that are integral to the Burkinabe identity.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Dr. SANGARE, a renowned gender expert, encouraged the campers to embody the values of integrity. She highlighted that a Burkinabe individual is distinguished by their integrity, stating that a person of integrity refrains from stealing, cheating, dishonesty, and covering up the truth. “He must tell the truth,” Dr. SANGARE asserted, thereby reinforcing the importance of honesty.

Dr. SANGARE also emphasized the importance of hard work, humility, and patriotism. She shared her personal pride in her Burkinabe heritage, urging the campers to similarly embrace and contribute to their nation. “I am proud to be Burkinabe and I love my country,” she told the campers, encouraging them to actively participate in nation-building.

In her address, Dr. SANGARE called upon the participants to remain in their homeland and foster a love for their country. “Let’s stay in our country, let’s cultivate love for our homeland, let’s work to build our country!” she advised, underscoring the camp’s purpose of teaching the youth how to contribute to Burkina Faso’s development.
