Addis Ababa: The state minister of finance Semereta Sewasew discussed with International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Regional Director, for the East and Southern Africa Division Sara Mbago-Bhunu on the overall portfolio funded by IFAD in Ethiopia. The Key topics in the discussion included exploring new resource windows, such as the Private Sector Window, and enhancing collaboration with other development partners. IFAD's Support focuses on strengthening rural finance institutions and expanding small-scale irrigation projects, which have significantly contributed to the agricultural and rural development of the country. This meeting marks a significant step towards strengthening the partnership between Ethiopia and IFAD, aiming to bolster sustainable development and economic growth in the country, Ministry of finance noted.
