Head of Dissihn Basic Education District Urges Stakeholders to Intensify Efforts

Ouagadougou: The head of the Dissihn basic education district (CEB), Soninuor Meda, urged education stakeholders to intensify their efforts during a supervision of the administrative start of the school year at school “A” on Monday, September 15.

According to Burkina Information Agency, teachers have returned for the 2025-2026 school year across the 49 schools in the Dissihn basic education district. The management team, responsible for ensuring a smooth return to school, visited these schools to monitor teachers’ attendance.

Soninuor Meda, the CEB of Dissihn, made visits to schools “A” and “D,” where he confirmed the full presence of teaching teams. He praised the teachers and supervisors for their accomplishments in the previous year and encouraged them to aim for greater achievements.

Mr. Meda stated, “I invite all teachers and supervisors to redouble their efforts this year 2025-2026, which promises to be full of challenges such as the widespread implementation of innovations in all schools.”

He noted that the supervisory team’s tour confirmed the administrative year has resumed in all schools under the CEB of Dissihn. Principals and teachers are aligned with Mr. Meda’s vision for the new school year.

The shared goal is to ensure all students in the CM2 class are admitted to the CEP exam and to enhance the academic level of students in intermediate classes. However, a challenge remains at the “D” school in Dissihn, where the 4th class is still being taught under a straw hut.
