Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has expressed its approval of the recent signing of the Declaration of Principles between the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the Congo River Alliance – March 23 Movement, held in Doha.
According to African Press Organization, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, highlighted Qatar’s role in mediating the dialogue that resulted in this declaration. The agreement is seen as a crucial move towards achieving national reconciliation and enhancing stability in the eastern regions of the DRC.
His Excellency reiterated the UAE’s commitment to supporting regional and international initiatives that focus on resolving conflicts through peaceful means. The UAE aims to contribute to the strengthening of security and stability not only in Africa but around the world.
